CBSE and ISC Class 12 results yet to be published, Pune colleges start admission

After Maharashtra announced the Class 12 results on Wednesday, most of the degree colleges in Pune either started the admission process or uploaded the admission schedule on their websites on Thursday.

Right from accepting forms to screening them to publishing merit lists to charging, the entire admissions process has moved online.

As class 12 results are not yet announced by CBSE and ISC, students fear losing admission to top colleges, as seats may be taken by those with high scores in the state assembly. College administrations say they cannot delay admissions procedures for a small minority of students.

At first we discussed whether we should start the process later, but then all the colleges started it. Also, if you notice this trend, students from other boards are less than ten percent of total intake in our traditional courses such as BA, B Com and B Sc. It would not be wise to delay the whole process for them, as they can be accommodated at a later date, said Savita Dattar, Principal of Sir Paracharumbay College, where university admissions opened on Thursday.

They can approach the principal with their requests, “He said.

Some colleges are having issues with teething but models will be available soon. Ravindrasinh Pardeshi, Principal of Ferguson College, said technical reasons are delaying the college’s admissions process and that forms and schedule will be available online in two to three days.
