CBI searches Lalu Prasad’s residences in Patna, Gopalganj

People know that these searches took place in the railway land scam between 2004 and 2009 when Lalu Prasad was the railway minister.

Patna: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a fresh case against Lalu Prasad, the head of the National Janata Dal (RJD), in connection with the land scam for employment, and on Friday searched the former chief minister of Bihar and 17 places related to him. Daughter Misa Bharti.

The CBI team declined to comment, but people are aware that searches are being carried out at various locations in Patna and Gopalganj and the land scam was held between 2004 and 2009 when Lalu Prasad was on the railway. Minister of Railways.

Lalu’s wife Robri Devi, her MLA Tej Pratap and daughter Misa Bharti were present when the search operation started at 7 am and CBI team arrived at the residence of Rabri Devi’s Circular Road at 10 am. The CBI team has reached Lalu Prasad’s hometown of Phulwaria in Gopalganj.

Misa Bharati then left for New Delhi.

Lalu’s youngest son and opposition leader Tejaswi Yadav is currently in London.

As news of the CBI search spread, a large number of RJD supporters gathered outside the Rabri residence and raised slogans against the BJP and the central agency.

The CBI had conducted similar searches in 2017 when Nitish Kumar was the chief minister and Tejaswi Yadav was the deputy chief minister of the state. Those searches are related to the IRCTC scam.
