JK: 2 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists killed in Srinagar encounter

Kashmir Zone police tweeted: “Srinagar police have neutralized two terrorists of the banned terrorist organization LET in a rapid encounter in Bemina area of Srinagar. One policeman was also injured.”

Sidhu Moos Wala murder: Pune police arrest another suspect of Gujarat

Jadhav (35) and his accomplice Navanath Suryavanshi (22) were arrested by the Pune Rural Police’s Local Crime Unit (LCB) unit in Kutch district of Gujarat. A team of Punjab policemen led by senior police officers headed to Pune to interrogate Jadhav.

Pune Police on Monday arrested two persons including Santosh Jadhav, a suspect in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moos Wala.

Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind files petition to Supreme Court against Uttar Pradesh vandalism

The Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has asked the Supreme Court to direct the Uttar Pradesh government to prevent the further destruction of the assets of the accused in the violent protests in the state against the statements of two BJP officials against Prophet Mohammed.

In one of the petitions filed by the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind challenging the Jahangirpuri wreck, petitions have been filed with the Supreme Court. (ANI)

Zoo can now be set up in forests without looking green

On June 8, the Ministry of Environment wrote to state governments and Union Territories that zoos within the forest are no longer considered non-forest activities.

After Khargone violence: High Court seeks reply from Madhya Pradesh government on vandalism

The Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Monday gave the state government two weeks to respond to a petition filed by the Madhya Pradesh High Court seeking compensation for demolition of houses in Khargone city following communal violence in April this year.

The West Bengal University Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2022, states that Chief Ministers are not the Chancellors of State-funded Universities, but preside over the respective Senate and Courts.

182 Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLAs voted in favor of the bill and the draft legislation was passed with 40 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members opposing it.
