BJP to make the most of welfare schemes, launch Tiranga Yatra ahead of 2024: Vasundhara Raje

Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will ramp up its awareness programs in order to reap the benefits of welfare schemes launched by the party governments and launch the Teranga Yatra to give impetus to its nationalism.

BJP Bureau members meeting on its second day National Executive Meeting Held in Hyderabad I decided to explore more ways to reach out to these 30 crore labars – the beneficiaries of welfare schemes – which the party succeeded in turning into its loyal support base in the electoral tests. The 22 Crore beneficiary families were the important electoral base of the Saffron Party in the 2019 elections and beyond.

BJP Deputy Chairman and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raj said that instead of taking Lavarthis as one group, the party would discuss strategies for each care and district plan to see what difficulties the people are facing. “We don’t want it to become static… We’ll see what levels we can take it to,” she told reporters after a meeting of office officials.

Another Teranga Yatra campaign the party will focus on in the run-up to the general elections. Raji said the BJP will continue its “Ghar Ghar Teranga” campaign and will reach Rs 20 crore before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Briefing the media on the discussions at the meeting, Raje said booster booths would remain the BJP’s main focus and the organization’s promotion programs could be adjusted to reach more people. “Communication with booths and booth-level workers is very important,” she said. Each booth will have at least 200 active party workers and WhatsApp groups will be created. Bana Pramukh – who are responsible for each page of the voter lists and are the first point of contact in the party’s election machinery – will continue to be the foundation of the party and there will be a review meeting on their activities every 15 days.

Answering questions about whether the political developments in the country in the wake of the Udaipur murder will be discussed at the secret meeting, Raji said: “When there is a political solution, the party will discuss every important issue in the country. All issues will be discussed at length in the meeting.”

The meeting also decided to issue a statement on the political situation in Telangana, the state which became the next electoral target of the BJP, along with passing political and economic decisions, including those related to government policies for the poor.

At the start of the meeting, BJP Chairman JP Nada praised the pro-poor policies of Narendra Modi government which he said were the reason for the party’s recent electoral victories, according to Raje.
