BJP slams BMC over ‘poor nullah desilting work’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday criticized the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for allegedly poor water removal work in the city.

MLA Ashish Shellar on Thursday met with Municipal Commissioner IS Chahal and posted pictures of unclean clergy from the city. He alleged that BMC was fiddling with the numbers, and said only 35 percent of Nally had been cleaned.

“Our founders are constantly monitoring the current descaling work. BMC’s claim that the nulah cleanup rate is more than 75 percent is incorrect. We have shared photos with the commissioner. The nulah cleanup will not be finished by May 31,” Shellar said.

Shiv Sena has also been criticized for “poor cleaning work” and floods in Mumbai every year during the monsoons. They’ve run BMC for over 25 years but the city is still flooded. Guardianship Minister Aditya Thackeray must apologize to the citizens of Mumbai. “Sina companies are out of business,” Schiller said.
