Azam Khan Walks Out of Jail ‘Like a New Sun’ After 27 Months as Shivpal Welcomes Him; Akhilesh Tweets for Him But Sends No Big Leaders

Amidst much fanfare and equally stark political questions, Socialist Party leader Azam Khan is finally out of prison after 27 long months. Samajwadi Party MLA from Rampur (Sadar) Council Headquarters, Khan was released after the Supreme Court granted him provisional bail in Case No. 89 registered against him.

While his family was delighted to have him back, they were joined by Pragatishil Samajwadi Lohya party chief Shivpal Yadav, who had been maintaining a constant ‘support’ for Khan who was said to have been abandoned by his party leadership, especially Shivpal’s nephew Akhilesh Yadav.

Shivbal’s son and Khan Abdullah Azam, who tweeted in anticipation of his release, arrived at Sitapur prison to receive the commander. However, it was learned that Akhilesh Yadav or any other prominent leader of the Socialist Party had lost on this occasion. However, some local leaders of the Samajwadi Party arrived at the prison to welcome him.

After Khan’s release, Akhilesh Yadav said in a tweet on Twitter that “lies have moments, not centuries”. He praised the leader’s release from prison, and said that by granting him bail, the Supreme Court had given new standards of justice. Sources said Akhilesh will visit Rampur tomorrow to meet Azam Khan.

The panel of High Court Justice L Nageswara Rao and Justice B. The orders arrived late Thursday night at Sitapur prison, where Azam Khan is being held.

Sources said Azam Khan will head straight to Rampur from Sitapur prison.

Meanwhile, in reaction to Azam Khan’s provisional bail by the Supreme Court, his wife, Zin Fatimah, expressed her gratitude to the court and also thanked everyone who stood by the family during their trying times. But Tazin Fatima evaded the question posed about Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav.

On the other hand, Azam Khan’s son, Abdullah Azam, tweeted, “God willing, tomorrow (May 20) with the first ray of sun in the morning my father will come out of prison like a new sun. The rays of this new dawn will remove the darkness of all injustice.”

Now all eyes will be on the equation of Azam Khan and Socialist Party Chairman Akhilesh Yadav as there has been speculation that Azam Khan was dissatisfied with the party’s leadership. There were also allegations from people close to Khan that the leadership of the Socialist Party had left Azam Khan “to rot in prison”.

Akhilesh Yadav’s estranged uncle and PSP MLA, Shivpal Yadav, said the Samajwadi Party was not doing much for the imprisoned SP MLA.
