Derbasi police on Thursday arrested four more suspects in an armed robbery case worth Rs 1 crore. Three of the four accused have been arrested in Maharashtra. Police recovered Rs 98.09 lakh out of a total of Rs 1 crore.
The arrested suspects were brought before a court that returned them to pretrial detention for three days.
On June 10, armed robbers robbed real estate dealer Harjit Nagpal at gunpoint and also shot a fruit seller who was chasing the thieves. A case has been registered at Derbasi Police Station.
During the investigation, it was revealed that one of the accused, Rangod Singh, had come to meet Nagpal regarding a real estate deal but it turned out to be a robbery.
Police arrested Rangod Singh on the same day and arrested the other suspects Maninderjit Singh and Saurabh based on what was revealed by Rangod Singh.

After revealing the other accused, the police have arrested four other culprits who have been identified as Arya, Mahipal Singh, Sunny Jaglan and Abhay Singh.
Police recovered Rs 28 lakh from Rangod Singh, Rs 45 lakh and a country-made pistol from Mannerjeet Singh, Rs 18,000 from Mahipal Singh, Rs 2.59 lakh from Sunny Jaglan and Rs 4.5 lakh from Abhay Singh.
Police have arrested the accused Arya, Mahipal, Sunny Jaghlan and Abhay Singh from Kolhapur in Maharashtra.
Police also found a Honda City car, a Toyota Corolla and a country-made pistol with three live cartridges with Rs 98.09 lakh from the accused.
