Arjun Das to lead Hindi remake of Malayalam hit Angamaly Diaries

Actor Arjun Das is set to make his Bollywood debut with the Hindi version of the Malayalam song. Angamali Diary. Tamil director Madhumita known in Kuwaiti Dinars will lead the new edition funded by Abundantia Entertainment.

Angamaly’s diary was a piece of memory written by Champagne Vinod Jose, a native of Angamaly. The film chronicles the formative years of a group of young boys, who share a common trait of bad temper. The film was a huge hit in Malayalam. It also put director Lijo Jose Pellissery on the map.

The Indian version, which has not yet received a title, will be set against the Goa background. Arjun Das will lead the cast.

Arjun Das is a staple in director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s films. His breakout role was in Kaithi’s hit movie Kanagaraj of 2019. He was also seen in an important role in Vijay’s Master. The actor also appeared in the blockbuster Vikram recently.

Abundantia Entertainment is also funding the Hindi remake of the Tamil Hit Soorarai Pottru movie, which stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara, who also directed the original Tamil film.
