Rishabh Pant-led Indian unit is facing a tough time to implement their plans in the ongoing five-match T20I series against South Africa. After India had lost by seven wickets in a high scoring encounter in New Delhi, Men in Blue suffered another four-wicket defeat in the next encounter in Cuttack.
The hosts collapsed from the start after the hosts were called in to bat first, adding only 148 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Despite the clinical performance of Seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, with figures 4/13, South Africa comfortably chased the target and won the competition by four wickets.
After a tough IPL, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Mohammad Shami and Jaspreet Bumrah are not taking part in the series. But KL Rahul, who was initially announced to lead the side in Rohit’s absence, was ruled out after the last minute due to a hip injury.

With all the big names now absent and Ruthuraj Gaikwad failing at the top, fans wonder if India is losing Rahul’s service.
Anakash Chopra, an analyst who has transformed into a cricketer, feels his absence but adds that such questions only make the team lose.
“When a opponent sees names like Rahul, Rohit and Virat missing in the batting order of India (little misses Rahul), their confidence is at a different level. But when the team wins, nobody misses.
“Nobody is saying that South Africa lost (Aiden) Markram or (Quinton) De Kock. The opposite happens when the team loses,” Chopra posted in his video. YouTube Channel.
India will try to prevent South Africa from taking a 3-0 lead if the two teams face off in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday evening.
