Anushka Sharma has shared a new selfie for the upcoming cricket-based film Chakda Express. The actor has a hard time getting the hang of cricket moves.
Anushka Sharma had no easy time honing her cricket skills before she started filming Chakda Express. On Wednesday, he shared a selfie as he took a break after practice. The selfie was shown in a white t-shirt with her hair tied behind her back. She caught a fist against her lips and stared at the camera. “Kash Bachpan Ma Kuch To Cricket Khela Hota To Aaz Halat Aise Na Na Hothi (I wish I played a little cricket in my childhood, perhaps I would not have felt this way today),” he wrote with his photo. Anushka plays the role of cricket star Julian Goswami in the film.
Chakda Express was announced in January with a teaser. Talking about the film, Anushka wrote in her post: “Chakda Express is inspired by the life and times of former Indian heroine, Julan Goswami and it opens the eyes of women’s cricket. At the time when Julan decided to become a cricketer and make his country proud on the global stage, it was very hard for women to think about playing sports. The film is a dramatic retelling of the many instances that have shaped her life and women’s cricket.
Anushka in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she and cricketer-husband Virat Kohli discussing her progress for her new film, as she showed him her cricket videos. He said, “We will definitely discuss my progress. When I have a good day’s learning, I like to share my videos with Virat and get his feedback. Fortunately, he is not a bowler so I ask my coach more. But I turn to Virat for batting advice.
Directed by Prosit Roy, Chakda Express is based on the life of Julian, the second Indian female cricketer to receive the Padma Shri in 2012.
Anushka has returned to acting after four years in the film. His last appearance was with Shah Rukh Khan in the film Zero released in 2018. After that they took a long break and welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika.
