Another batch of 30 Afghan Sikhs will arrive in Delhi on Wednesday as the evacuation and relocation of Afghan minorities to India continues.
“The relocation of Afghan minorities to India is being facilitated by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in coordination with us,” said Puneet Chandhok, India Global Forum.
Thirty Afghan Sikhs, including children and infants, will arrive later today from Kabul. The SGPC has borne their fare. Earlier, 32 people were evacuated.
An unscheduled commercial flight operated by Kam Air will arrive at Terminal 3 of IGI in Delhi at 11.45 am. Then the evacuees will head towards Gurdwara Sri Guru Arjan Dev G in Tilak Nagar.
There are still as many as 110 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan and 61 e-Visa applications are pending with the Government of India for issuance.
