Amid stir, Army issues notification for Agniveer scheme; recruitments start July | Latest News India

The announcement of the appointment of Agniweer by the Indian Army has come amid protests across the country.

The Indian Army on Monday issued a notification for the recruitment of ‘Agni Veers’ under Agnipath Recruitment Schemes. The notification came out amid ongoing protests across the country.

“Agnivier General Duty, Agnivier Technical, Agnivier Technical (Aviation / Ammunition Checker), Agnivier Clerk / Store Keeper Technical, Agnivier Tradesman (10th Degree) and the respective Army Recruiting Offices (ARO) will be opened from July. Tradesman (ARO Rally Schedule 8th), ”the Army said in a notification.

The notification issued by the Indian Army broadly describes the terms and conditions of service, eligibility, release and other important information relating to the Agnewir scheme.

According to the notification, applicants will be enrolled under the Army Act 1950 for a four-year term, including a training period. Fire vests are responsible for going wherever they order by land, sea or air. Firemen are not entitled to any kind of pension or gratuity.

The ‘Agniweera’ service starts from the date of registration. They create a different hierarchy in the army, different from other existing ranks.

“The leave, uniform, wages and allowances during the four-year service period shall be governed by orders and instructions for such persons issued by the Government of India (GoI) from time to time,” the army said.

‘Agniwires’ are responsible for assigning any duty in the corporate interest. Staff enrolled in the scheme are required to undergo periodic medical check-ups with physical / written / field tests as per orders. Performance thus displayed is considered a later contribution to the Regular Cadre for enrollment. Fire vests can be posted to any regiment / unit and further transferred to corporate interests.
