Akkineni Family’s Special Film Manam Completes 8 Years, Naga Chaitanya Shares Thoughts

Manam is a special film that is close to the hearts of the Akinini family. The film, which starred three generations of the popular clan, completed 8 years on May 23. The 2014 movie is known to be the last movie of Late Akkineni Nageswara Rao. To celebrate this special occasion, Naga Chaitanya shared a touching note on Twitter posing with director Vikram Kumar.

Chaitanya tweeted a photo with Manam director Vikram Kumar from the sets of his upcoming movie. Recalling the same memories, he wrote, “8 years of having Manam on floors today with Vikram Kumar and sharing the same passion. Probably the best way to celebrate this trip! Thankful.”

Manam is one of the most loved Telugu movie and it is fun for Akkineni fans. The film features Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Akkineni Akhil and Nagarjuna’s wife Amala Akkineni. Besides the clan, the movie also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a pivotal role.

The film is a fantasy drama that revolves around different time periods and explores eternal love. The three generations take us on a joyful journey with their performance. The film marks the last film of the late actor Nagswara Rao, who departed for the celestial abode even before Manam was released. The film has received numerous awards, including five Filmfare Awards.

Interestingly enough, Chaitanya has teamed up with Vikram for the first time after Manam in his upcoming movie Thank You. The film stars Naga Chaitanya and Raashii Khanna in the lead roles and is financed by Dil Raju.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 8 this year. Aside from Thank You, the duo is also working on a web series titled Dootha, which is said to be a supernatural thriller that will be released on Amazon Prime Video.
