Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan was released from Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur jail Friday morning, a day after the Supreme Court granted him interim bail in the fraud case.

Khan, a MLA from Rampur’s Samajwadi Party, has been jailed for the past 27 months in connection with several land use cases. He has been granted bail in all 87 cases filed against him, except one filed at Kotwali police station in Rampur, in which the Supreme Court granted interim bail.
