India reported 6,594 new cases in the last 24 hours on Tuesday – 18 per cent lower than the previous day. Earlier Monday, India added 8,084 new cases; This is the third day that the country has reported more than 8,000 cases. According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, the country’s active caseload is 50,548 – about 0.12 percent of the total cases.
According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 4,035 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery to 4,26,61,370. The recovery rate in India is 98.67 percent.
The daily positivity rate stands at 2.05 percent while the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.32 percent.

A total of 85.54 crore Kovid-19 tests have been conducted in the country so far and 3,21,873 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours. India’s vaccination has crossed the 195.35 crore dose mark.
Meanwhile, amid a surge of routine coronavirus cases since last week, the Delhi government has asked districts to restart random tests in public places, expand the booster vaccination network and implement mitigation measures such as masking and avoidance.
Maharashtra has seen an increase in the number of daily cases over the past few days, followed by Kerala, Delhi and Karnataka.
